  Short Summary: - The System Design Engineer is responsible for designing logistics and material handling systems based on customer requirements. This role focuses on creating system layouts, technical proposals, and engineering documents for warehouse and supply chain projects. The engineer also manages projects from start to finish, including schedule control, budget management, and risk assessment. The position requires close communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure that all technical requirements are clearly understood and correctly implemented. The engineer must support smooth project execution and deliver high-quality systems that meet cost, quality, and timeline targets while following company standards and Kaizen activities. Key Responsibilities: - Design logistics and material handling systems based on customer needs - Create system layouts, configurations, and technical proposals - Prepare basic design drawings and technical specifications - Attend technical meetings with customers and explain system details - Coordinate with vendors for quotations, technical evaluation, and progress tracking - Manage projects including schedule, budget, and risk control - Monitor project progress and solve technical problems - Improve work processes and engineering quality through Kaizen - Prepare handover documents such as as-built drawings and manuals Organizational Structure: - The System Design Engineer works under the Engineering Group within the PLIC-IHI Logistics Machinery Division. The position reports directly to the Section Manager. The engineer works closely with other system design engineers, project members, procurement staff, and internal support teams. During projects, the engineer communicates regularly with customers and suppliers to ensure technical accuracy and smooth progress. The role requires teamwork, coordination, and clear communication with multiple departments. While this position does not have direct subordinates, it plays an important role in supporting project teams and coordinating technical activities across internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate with internal engineering teams Improve warehouse efficiency and productivity through system design Organizational Structure: The System Design Engineer works as part of the engineering team. The team usually consists of system design engineers and technical specialists. The engineer reports to the Engineering Manager or Project Manager. The role requires close coordination with the sales team during proposal and planning stages. The engineer may also work with installation and maintenance teams during project implementation. Communication with customers may be required to understand system requirements and explain technical solutions. The team structure supports collaboration and sharing of technical knowledge to deliver the best logistics automation solutions.
