  Short Summary: - The Senior Purchasing Engineer is responsible for managing direct material purchasing activities for automotive parts. This role focuses on supplier sourcing, supplier evaluation, cost control, and project management for new and current models. The engineer will work closely with suppliers to manage tooling schedules, APQP activities, and process changes. This position also supports quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) targets and ensures compliance with customer requirements and international standards. The role is suitable for candidates with solid experience in automotive purchasing who can lead suppliers and support continuous improvement projects. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in sourcing activities and supplier selection - Conduct supplier evaluation and supplier audits - Manage supplier tooling schedules and project preparation plans - Control APQP reports and supplier readiness - Drive cost reduction activities (VA/VE and localization projects) - Control supplier cost and performance - Support supplier process change and audit activities - Work with suppliers to maintain QCD performance - Prepare and control documents per customer and system requirements - Support ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and other systems Organizational Structure: - This position is part of the Group Purchasing Team for Direct Materials. The Senior Purchasing Engineer will report directly to the Purchasing Manager or Commander Manager. The team works closely with Quality, Engineering, Production, and overseas headquarters. The role requires frequent coordination with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and stable mass production. The Senior Engineer is expected to support junior staff and act as a key person in supplier communication and project follow-up.
