    We are a leading company specializing in the import and management of hazardous materials, particularly chemicals and oils. Our operations involve handling complex import procedures and government permits on behalf of our clients, making safety and regulatory compliance a top priority. Position Overview: We are seeking a Chemical PCO / Safety Staff to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring safe and compliant handling of chemical and hazardous materials, both in our warehouse operations and import processes. While office safety duties occur occasionally, the core responsibilities revolve around chemical import management, permit processing, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: ・Handle permits and processes for DENR, DOE, PDEA, LLDA, DDB, PNP, and other relevant government agencies related to chemical importation and transport. ・Monitor and process all required permits and certificates for hazardous materials. ・Carry out site inspections and monitor the implementation of HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) procedures. ・Inspect workplaces and promote safe conduct of work. ・Perform all tasks required of a PCO/Safety Officer within the company. ・Stay updated on relevant rules, regulations, and best practices in chemical and hazardous material management.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    <MUST> - Direct, hands-on experience in leading and handling chemical (Dangerous Goods) import and transport application procedures with government agencies such as DENR, DOE, PDEA, PNP, LLDA, DDB, etc. - Solid knowledge of environmental laws, hazardous material regulations, and import compliance in the Philippines. - Ability to manage office safety operations, including the updating and maintenance of annual contracts for machinery and electrical equipment. - Excellent communication and reporting skills to effectively address, negotiate, and resolve improvement requests/corrective actions from PEZA and FPIP. <BETTER> - Bachelor’s/College Degree in Environmental, Industrial, or other Engineering fields, Business Administration, or equivalent. - Experience working in a Japanese company. - Knowledge of importation procedures.
