Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Responsible for receiving bookings from customers 2. Responsible in contacting the Shipping Lines 3. Responsible in preparing and processing of documents 4. Responsible in coordinating details of shipment with the Shipping Lines 5. Responsible in coordinating with other departments regarding trucking, brokerage and requests for payment 6. Responsible in preparing the Bill of Lading and Certificate of Origin 7. Responsible in ensuring the completion of documents 8. Responsible in sending pre-alert notice to agents 9. Responsible in receiving notice of delay from Shipping Line 10. Responsible in ensuring that shippers are informed regarding delayed vessel departure 11. Any other duties as may be assigned by the superior from time to time in any particular location

Requirement

<MUST> - At least 2 years experience in the same position from a Freight Forwarding Industry or its equivalent - 4-year college course - Knowledge in computer operations <BETTER> Completed cargo-related training courses; - Basic Cargo Course - Advance Cargo Course - Dangerous Goods Cargo Course - Pro-active Customer Handling Skills for Front-liners - Knowledge in computer operations
