    Shape the Growth of Japanese Business in the Philippines We are looking for a Japanese-speaking Business Development Manager who will take a leading role in developing, expanding, and strengthening business with Japanese companies in the Philippines. This position is designed for a commercially driven professional who can confidently engage with top management and decision-makers of Japanese enterprises, build long-term strategic partnerships, and grow market share in key industrial sectors. As a senior representative of the brand, you will act as a trusted business partner to Japanese customers while working closely with local and global stakeholders. Your mission is to develop Japanese accounts, translate market opportunities into sales success, and maximize sustainable growth of the Compressor Techniques business. 【MISSION】 • Lead the development of new Japanese customers while reinforcing relationships with existing Japanese accounts. • Serve as the primary point of contact for top management of Japanese companies, including Presidents, Directors, and Senior Executives. • Increase Compressor Techniques market share among Japanese companies in the Philippines through strategic sales execution. • Work closely with local business line managers and sales teams across all divisions to deliver integrated solutions. • Develop winning sales strategies aligned with local market opportunities and global success stories, particularly in semiconductors, food & beverages, power generation, and manufacturing. • Coordinate with Japan HQ and regional stakeholders when required to support customer decision-making and long-term partnerships. 【Responsibilities】 ***Business Development & Product Sales*** • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities with Japanese companies operating in the Philippines. • Manage and grow key Japanese accounts covering equipment and service business. • Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets through structured action plans tailored to Japanese customers. • Follow up on leads generated through colleagues, telemarketing, networking, and referrals. • Introduce new products, upgrades, and technical solutions aligned with customer needs and long-term business goals. • Coordinate closely with Service Sales Engineers to deliver complete, value-driven solutions. • Actively engage in prospecting, customer visits, and relationship-building activities to expand market presence. • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, proposals, and promotional materials. • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events involving Japanese stakeholders. ***Executive-Level Customer Relationship Management*** • Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with Japanese customers, ensuring high satisfaction and loyalty. • Act as a reliable business advisor to Japanese top management, reinforcing brand credibility and strategic value. • Maintain accurate customer data, quotations, pipelines, and schedules in the CRM system. • Ensure disciplined follow-up and transparent communication with customers and internal stakeholders. ***Reporting & Market Intelligence*** • Maintain accurate daily records of customer activities, quotations, won and lost orders in the CRM system. • Prepare reports for management on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback. • Provide competitive intelligence and recommend product, service, and pricing strategies based on market insights.

Qualifications

    【MUST】 • Native or near-native Japanese language proficiency with the ability to conduct business discussions and negotiations. • Strong ability to communicate with top management and decision-makers of Japanese companies (President, Directors, Senior Managers). • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within an industrial or B2B environment. • Proven experience in developing and managing Japanese customer accounts. • Strong understanding of Japanese business culture, etiquette, and decision-making processes. • Demonstrated ability to develop new customers and grow existing accounts. • Experience in end-to-end sales activities, from prospecting and proposal preparation to closing deals. • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams such as sales engineers, service teams, and product managers. • Proficiency in English for internal coordination and reporting. • Willingness to travel locally as required for customer visits and business development. 【BETTER】 • Experience in the compressed air, gas, industrial equipment, or manufacturing-related industries. • Existing network or business relationships with Japanese companies in the Philippines. • Experience handling multinational or regional Japanese accounts. • Background in industries such as semiconductors, food & beverages, power generation, or manufacturing. • Prior experience coordinating with Japan HQ or regional offices. • Familiarity with CRM systems and structured sales reporting. • Experience representing a company at trade shows, exhibitions, or industry events involving Japanese clients. • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets. • Experience working in a multicultural, multinational organization.
