Job Description
As the world’s largest musical instrument manufacturer, we are known for our quality, stellar customer service and innovation. We are looking for a Piano Service Specialist to provide customer service, technical support, repair, and technical training of Acoustic Piano, Disklavier and Hybrid Piano products to our artists, dealers, servicers, and related field entities. As the one of the major piano manufacturers in the world, the Piano Service Specialist will be the one who would represent the technical aspect in the Philippines. We will be providing long-term technical training, so that he/she can acquire the necessary technical knowledge and experience. > Deliver a best-in-class service experience for all customer inquiries and requests. > Engage in customer service activities via phone, email, and an internal support ticketing system. > Administer Yamaha’s warranty policy and report on quality issues. > Repair and dispose of stock pianos, including Disklavier and Hybrid Piano components. > Prepare and maintain stock pianos prior to shipment to dealerships and venues. > Provide field technical support at dealerships, venues, and other locations as needed. > Provide technical support/training for Yamaha Artist, dealers, servicers and related field entities. > Assist in Piano Service training seminars as required. > Perform other duties and participate in projects as needed. > Gather and investigate product quality feedback from distributors and dealers and promptly communicate relevant information to the appropriate departments within the company.

Skills & Experience > Recent Graduate (up to 2 years) of college/University majoring in music related fields > Passion for music and basic experience in playing keyboard instruments. > Knowledge of musical notation and musical grammar. > Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication in English. Behaviours / Motivation > Capable of carrying out tasks with attention to detail to ensure quality work. > Motivated to perform well when given the ability to set your own schedule and goals. Other Requirements > Good physical and mental health > A good ear for music (listening ability). > Willing to work in Makati City. > Able to travel (domestic/abroad) for extended period *Note* Some of the works/trainings may take place abroad, which may take extended period (can be for a few months, as extreme cases). The ability for business trip for in long-term is essential. > Perseverance and strong commitment to long-term dedication in the field. *Note* A career as a Piano Technician requires broad knowledge and experience that cannot be gained through short-term training alone. It requires continuous practice and the accumulation of knowledge over years. This project is a long-term investment for both the candidate and the company, with an initial commitment of 1-3 years, and a long-term perspective of 10 years or more. This role demands perseverance, dedication, and passion for the field. > Interested in the structure, construction, and adjustment of musical instruments > Interested in adjusting, crafting, machinery, or physics (cars, motorcycles, plastic models...etc.) > Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). (Preferred) > Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues. > Experience with networks and network devices. > Experience with SAP and Salesforce.com.
