The Consumer Underwriting Department plays a crucial role in evaluating insurance applications, assessing risks, and making appropriate underwriting decisions. This department is also responsible for structuring reinsurance programs and optimizing operational processes to enhance overall profitability. Job Responsibilities 1. Department Goal Setting & Strategy Development EEstablish departmental goals and strategies in alignment with company policies. 2. Underwriting Management & Approval EEvaluate and approve insurance applications. EPlan and propose reinsurance programs. ERegularly review and update underwriting guidelines. 3. Process Optimization & Cross-Department Coordination ECollaborate with other departments to improve operations. EReview and enhance workflows to increase efficiency and reduce costs. 4. Talent Development & Department Management EProvide guidance, training, and evaluation of staff. EManage departmental budgets and business plans. 5. External Relations & Knowledge Development EParticipate in industry conferences and events to stay updated on the latest trends. ERepresent the company in external professional organizations.

Qualifications

    Qualifications & Requirements EBachelor's degree EMinimum of 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, including at least 5 years in a managerial role ECompletion of advanced courses in various non-life insurance fields EUnderwriting licenses in at least three major insurance categories (Property, Marine, Casualty, Surety) EProficiency in Microsoft Office applications EExcellent writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills EProven management and leadership experience
